Health Club Credit Program

Earn up to a $20 credit each month for visiting your health club

You can save money on your health club membership dues. BCBSND is partnering with the National Independent Health Club Association (NIHCA), a non-profit organization that represents independently owned health centers across the nation, to provide a Health Club Credit program.

The Health Club Credit program is a wellness benefit for members on a fully insured plan. Up to two enrolled BCBSND members (one member, if enrolled in single coverage) can each earn up to $20 credit per month for visiting a NIHCA-affiliated health club. Eligible members include the enrolled subscriber and the subscriber’s enrolled spouse, if any, who are both at least 18 years of age.

How to participate:

  • Contact the health center and ask the staff if they participate in the Health Club Credit program from BCBSND, or visit www.nihca.org and browse the growing list of participating health clubs.
  • You will receive a welcome letter from BCBSND.
  • Present the welcome letter and your BCBSND health plan ID card to your participating health club, where you will complete an enrollment form.
  • After the health club verifies your eligibility, start using the facilities at least 12 times per month. The health club tracks your participation, and your account will be credited each month.

Nominate a facility:

Visit NIHCA’s website to nominate your health center for this program. NIHCA will follow up with the health club.
